Eyelid Surgery – Blepharoplasty

Book An Appointment

Blepharoplasty is a procedure that tightens the skin and removes excess skin from the eyelids. At BT Polyclinic, we perform blepharoplasty:

  • classic surgical intervention
  • with the help of a CO2 laser

There are several techniques at your disposal:

  • Upper eyelids: by making a small incision in the natural crease of the eyelid, excess skin and, if necessary, excess fat is removed. After the operation, the scar is well hidden by the folds of the skin and is not visible when the patient has his eyes open.
  • Lower eyelids: Making an incision just below the eyelashes of the lower eyelid removes excess skin and fat. If the goal is only to remove bags under the eyes (and there is no excess skin), an incision is made on the inner part of the lower eyelid through which the excess fatty tissue is removed or moved. After the operation, there are no visible scars because there are no external incisions.
  • Soft surgery: This is the latest method of removing excess skin from the eyelids without scarring. Candidates for this type of intervention are patients with less excess skin. The goal of soft surgery is to postpone the operation with a surgical incision and scar for several years.

  • The CO2 Laser is also used for laser blepharoplasty, a procedure that tightens the skin and removes excess skin from the eyelids. This minimally invasive technique provides long-lasting results with a shorter recovery time compared to traditional surgical methods. Achieve a youthful and refreshed look without the need for a scalpel.

Procedure Duration: About 1h

Post-Procedure Care: Mild swelling and bruising are normal after these operations. The sutures are removed after 7 days, and strenuous physical activities should be avoided during the next four weeks. It is also recommended to wear sunglasses and a protective cream with a UV factor.
