Platalet Rich Plasma, better known as Plasma Lift or abbreviated as PRP, is a completely natural treatment that can be used to treat the skin of the face, neck and décolleté, the back of the hands, and the genital region.
It effectively solves skin problems such as hyperpigmentation and acne scars, but since the plasma directly stimulates the growth of new cells and the production of collagen, it also improves the quality and appearance of the skin, especially fine lines on the face, which creates a rejuvenating effect.
In recent years, it has also been used to prevent hair loss.
The procedure involves taking a small amount of blood from the patient, from which the red blood cells are separated by a centrifuge from the plasma in which the platelets remain (at a concentration 3-5 times higher than in whole blood). The platelet-rich plasma is then injected back into the skin with a fine needle.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, without injecting any foreign substances.
After the procedure, there is a short-term redness, which passes within a few hours to a day. This treatment is minimally invasive, so the patient can return to his duties the very next day.
The first results will be visible only after 5 to 6 weeks. For a complete, pronounced effect, it is necessary to repeat the treatment 3 times at intervals of one month. Significant results are visible after one month from the last treatment, and the full result only after 6 months.
The only cases when it is not recommended to do PRP treatment are in patients who use immunotherapy or have autoimmune diseases. Also, treatments are not performed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Procedure Duration: It depends on the problem being solved.
Post-Procedure Care: Possible appearance of bruises and redness in the region of the sting.
Recommended Number of Treatments: The effects last from 6 to 12 months, so after the first three, it is advisable to repeat the treatment once or twice a year.
